CIVIL ENGINEER

High-End Real Estate Development Company

Our client, a leading high-end real estate development company, is seeking to recruit a highly competent, detail-oriented and experienced Civil Engineer to join their project delivery team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering works across the company’s developments, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, cost efficiency and within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate civil engineering works across real estate development projects.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Review civil, structural and infrastructure drawings and identify any technical issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure projects remain within approved timelines and budgets.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed progress and technical reports.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, quantity surveyors, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, building codes, engineering standards and relevant statutory requirements.
• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship used on site.
• Review contractors’ work programmes, method statements and technical submissions.
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, cost control and resource allocation.
• Identify construction risks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure proper documentation of site activities, inspections, variations and project records.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance on civil engineering matters.
• Support the handover and completion of projects, including snagging and defects management.
• Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance across project sites.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineeringfrom a recognised institution.
• Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body will be an added advantage/requirement depending on role level.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within real estate development, high-end residential, commercial or mixed-use construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials and engineering standards.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising contractors and managing construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and civil engineering drawings.
• Strong project management, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software.
• Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding project timelines.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Civil Engineer who understands the demands of delivering premium real estate developments and can maintain high standards of quality, workmanship, safety and project execution.

Experience working on high-end residential developments, luxury apartments, villas, gated communities, commercial developments or mixed-use projects will be highly advantageous.
